Research on Marxist theories in new China has experienced four stages, i.e., foundation-laying and getting-started, rigidity and stagnation, revival and development, prosperity and renovation, and achieved great success. Future development requires continuing to strengthen the compiling and publishing of as well as the research on the classical Marxist works, and scientifically understanding and treating Marxism; summarizing on a scientific basis the development rules of Marxist theoretical research, and incessantly promoting the process of sinicization of Marxism; continuously enlarging the scope of and deepening the research on Marxist theories, and making great efforts to realize the organic combination of academic research, policy exploration and theory propaganda; broadening the international vision of conducting Marxist theoretical research, and energetically establishing “China’s voice” in the global Marxist theoretical research.
