社会主义劳动力商品论评析

Abstract: For nearly 20 years it has been a controversial issue in the Chinese theoretical circles about w hether lobour in the econom y of socialist public ow nership is a comm odity. Yet no agreement has been reached. A number of com rades hold opinions contrary to the " lobour- as- a- comm odity" view. The author proposes that in order to understand w hether labour in the economy of socialist public ow nership is a com modity or not, it is essential to clarify tw o questions first: Do the theory and factual grounds of " the theory of labour as a comm odity" hold w ater? And does it have any theoretical and practical significance to advocate " the theory of labour as a com modity"? The author has alw ays had a negating opinion on the tw o questions.
