Based on panel data of large and medium enterprises in manufacturing industry^ this paper investigates the influence of MNEs on R&-D Spending of domestic enterprises, with the result shows that when different influence channels, enterprise ownerships and types of R&D Spending are chosen the conclusions are also different. Through technical demonstration effect MNEs have significantly promoted the R&D spending of domestic enterprises. But at the same time, with competition effect in product and factor market MNEs have Weakened the willingness and ability of private enterprises in R&D investment, thus reducing their spending on R&D, nevertheless* no significant effect on state-owned enterprises has be observed. Whether as explanatory variable or explained variable* when different types of R&-D Spending are chosen^ the significance and influence factors of variables are different.
